Role of Smyrna is Armenian lecture topic Oct. 5

Dr. Richard G. Hovannisian, professor of Armenian and Near Eastern history at UCLA, will speak at 7:30 p.m., Friday Oct. 5, at the Fresno State Industrial Technology Building, Room 101 as part of the Armenian Studies Program Fall Lecture Series. He will discuss “The 90^th Anniversary of the Burning of Smyrna” and its importance in modern Armenian history. The event is free and open to the public.
