Quijeremá, an acclaimed Latin American folk and jazz group, will teach a workshop noon-1:30 p.m. Oct. 5 at Fresno State’s Wahlberg Recital Hall and entertain at a free, public concert at 8 p.m. at the Concert Hall, both in the Music Building. The events will celebrate the poetry of Chilean Nobel laureate and poet Pablo Neruda and music representing the African diaspora in the Americas. The concert is sponsored by the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures and the Department of Music in the College of Arts and Humanities.
