Fresno State is flying campus flags at half-staff from sunrise to sunset Tuesday, Sept. 11, to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, observing President Obama’s proclamation of Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance. The campus directive affects flags flown at the Rose Garden, in front of the North Gym, at the Save Mart Center and at any Athletics venue where events are hosted by Fresno State. In Fresno State President John D. Welty encourages the campus community to heed Obama’s invitation to “participate in community service in honor of those our nation lost.”
