The Fresno State CineCulture program presents “Transcending: The Wat Misaka Story” at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at the Leon S. and Pete P. Peters Educational Center in the Student Recreation Center. The documentary features Wat Misaka, the first person of color to be drafted into what is now the National Basketball Association by the 1947 New York Knicks.
