As Fresno State students wind down three days of online voting at noon today, the Associated Students, Inc. reports a record turnout. As of 10 a.m., 1,804 votes of 20,286 eligible voters were cast for nearly 9% voter participation. The previous high was 1,684 ballots cast in 2010, reports Tara Powers-Meade, ASI coordinator. The votes will be tallied by the League of Women Voters beginning at noon in University Student Union, room 316. Results for the 18 positions, which included three candidates for student body president, will be announced around 3 p.m. in the USU Pavilion Conference (lower level) and posted on Associated Students Inc..
