The Fresno State student chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will host “Black is Beautiful 365,” 6:15-9 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in the Satellite Student Union. The free, public event will promote African-American and Black heritage through dances, songs, skits and poems. The Madera NAACP Youth will showcase a museum about historical pioneers in Black history. The event seeks to uplift the community and embrace African-American and Black culture throughout the year. The mission of Fresno State’s NAACP multicultural student club is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of all citizens.
