A partnership between the College of Science and Mathematics and APPL Labs in Clovis earned recognition from The Fresno Compact as an outstanding business-school partnership. APPL Labs, whose president Diane Anderson is a Fresno State alumna, was among 10 local businesses honored at the Fresno Compact’s 17th annual Business-Education Shareholders’ Luncheon on Feb. 6. The businesses were lauded for their work with schools, contributing time and resources to help students reach their full potential. APPL, a full service analytical laboratory, works with Fresno State chemistry faculty and students to provide students with on-site experience in a real-world setting. The partnership between APPL Labs and the College of Science and Mathematics was spearheaded by Dr. Eric Person, professor of chemistry at Fresno State. Read more.
