Los Danzantes de Aztlán Scholarship Benefit, May 7

A fundraiser for a new scholarship honoring the late Ernesto Martinez will be held at 6 p.m. May 7 by the dance troupe he founded at Fresno State. The Los Danzantes de Aztlán Scholarship Benefit, a social and dinner, will be hosted at the University House (4411 N. Van Ness Blvd.) with President John D. Welty joined by former Danzantes members like the Hon. Rosendo Peña, associate justice of the 5^th District Court of Appeal, serving as hosts. The scholarship will support students engaged in cultural activities that contribute to the cultural life of the university and the community.
