A suicide prevention training course will be offered to Fresno State employees and students 3-4:30 p.m., Thursday, April 11, in Henry Madden Library, Room 3212. The session, “Question, Persuade & Refer (QPR)” will help participants understand suicide as a major public health problem, identify warning signs and risk factors, learn techniques for asking the suicide question, learn how to persuade someone to get help and identify campus and community resources. Nearly 120 participants have completed QPR training this semester.
