The Fresno State baseball team and First 5 of Fresno are teaming up for a May 10 book drive to benefit children in the Valley. Fans who donate books on Friday night before the Dogs’ first game of the series against New Mexico will receive free admission to the game. An earlier book drive was also held by the softball team back in April. First 5 Fresno County is an advocacy organization that invests resources and supports efforts to improve the lives of children ages 0-5 and their families. First 5 Fresno County was created in 1998 when California voters passed Proposition 10, “The Children and Families Act.”
