Fresno State President-Designate Joseph I. Castro announced a 46-member Presidential Transition Team to provide counsel as he assumes office on Aug. 1 and during his first six months.

“I value input from all constituents as I begin this momentous journey,” he said.

California State University Trustees Dr. Peter Mehas and Hugo Morales will co-chair the team. It includes campus and community members from the CSU Advisory Committee for the Selection of the President. Members are:

A native of Hanford, Castro returns to the Valley following a 23-year administrative and academic career with the University of California. He held leadership positions at five UC campuses and in its system-wide office. He currently is Vice Chancellor for Student Academic Affairs at University of California, San Francisco.
