National Guard children get 100 tickets for football opener

Military children of service members with the California National Guard will be special guests of the Bulldogs at the Aug. 29 football game against Rutgers University at Bulldog Stadium. Fresno State donated 100 tickets to the Summer Matters program, a youth fitness and education program which was held Saturday at the Piccadilly Inn. The event was presented by We Serve Too!, a non-profit organization aimed at supporting military dependents. In addition to the football tickets, each child received a backpack donated by the California National Guard. INFO: Chris Nason, 609.471.1481.
