For the fifth consecutive year, the American Chemistry Society will present its Outstanding Chapter Award to the Fresno State student chapter, the CHEM Club. The highest honor for student chapters nationwide, it recognizes exceptional programs and activities throughout the school year. And for the third time in five years, the CHEM Club was also recognized as a Green Chemistry Student Chapter for integrating principles of green chemistry into its practices. Student members regularly visit Fresno and Kings County elementary and middle schools with hands-on physical science activities created through the Chemistry department’s service-learning efforts that are designed to help increase the general scientific literacy of the Central Valley for many age groups. INFO: President Mee Vang at firstname.lastname@example.org, Donnie Golden at 559.278.2103 or visit Chemistry Club Facebook.
