Club Austral, a student organization founded by Spanish majors in 2008, won the Fresno State Homecoming Club and Organization Banner Decorating Contest sponsored by Student Involvement. The club won a first-place gift basket which includes eight tickets to the Paramore concert at the Save Mart Center Oct. 22, four student tickets to the Fresno State vs. UNLV homecoming game Oct. 19 and some Fresno State gear. University Courtyard won the annual University Office Homecoming Decorating Contest sponsored by the Staff Assembly Executive Committee and was presented the perpetual Bulldog Statue to display for the year.
