The publication of “Secrets from my Silent Garden,” an autobiography of Fresno State professor emeritus Dr. Paul Ogden, will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8 in the Music Building, room 183. Ogden, who was born deaf, was voted “Outstanding Professor of the Year” at Fresno State for his work in the Communicative Disorders and Deaf Studies program. His book “The Silent Garden: Raising Your Deaf Child” was published in 1982 and translated into Spanish in 2002. The event will include a reception, book signing and readings by Dr. Edward EmanuEl, Dr. George Diestel, Dr. James Walton, Dr. Judith Kuipers and Dr. Diane Blair.
