Fresno State’s College of Arts and Humanities Partners-in-Art program will host a Kwanzaa event for children and youth from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at the Martin Luther King Square Apartments (816 East Florence Avenue). The event is part of the Saturday Art Workshop series. Children will weave a mkeka (a traditional straw or woven textile mat) and prepare a kinara (a candleholder for the Mishumaa Saba, seven candles).
