Fresno State’s Central California War Veterans Oral History Project will focus on female veterans this semester and seeks participants for the student assignments. Women who served in the United States Armed Forces may contact Gary Rice, a Mass Communication and Journalism professor who began the project in spring 2010. The oral histories are presented at the end of the semester and preserved in a permanent special collection in the university’s Henry Madden Library, available to scholars, researchers, historians and the public. Nearly 400 interviews are now archived in the collection. Rice’s students follow national guidelines and standards for oral histories. INFO: 559.278.2026 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
