Student leaders provide role models to youth in Saturday Sports

Student leaders at Fresno State will participate in the Every Neighborhood Partnership’s Saturday Sports program at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1 at Wolters Elementary School in Fresno (5174 N. First St.). Volunteers include 19 members of Fresno State’s Associated Students Inc. (ASI) who will interact with the Wolters students for the community program that partners churches with elementary schools and surrounding neighborhoods to provide a safe and active presence in the community. Through the Saturday Sports programs, the youngsters interact with positive role models on weekends in basketball, volleyball, soccer, football and crafts.
