Applications are being accepted through May 2 for the 2014 CSU Summer Arts at CSU Monterey Bay June 30-July 27. Created in 1985, the multidisciplinary, system-wide program offers workshops taught by CSU professors and guest instructors who are, in some cases, Emmy, Tony and Academy Award winners. Students can earn academic credit through apprentice-like study with world-renowned master teachers in dance, creative writing, filmmaking and videography, music, new media, theater and visual arts. A three-week course in Italy, “Drawing and Painting in Florence,” is also offered June 12-July 2 with that application due March 10.
