Fresno State marketing students have organized “SoleTrain,” a shoe donation drive leading up to the 40th anniversary of Vintage Days. The students set a goal to collect 12,500 pairs of shoes that will be lined up in front of the Craig School of Business for what they hope will be the world’s longest chain of shoes. SoleTrain has collection sites throughout Fresno and will also arrange personal pick-ups. The drive runs until Saturday, April 26 at 5 p.m. when the students will make their Guinness World Record attempt. All shoes will be donated to local non-profit organizations.
