Fresno State’s nationwide search for a vice president for Advancement has resulted in four finalists who are visiting campus in April and May to meet faculty, staff and community members.

A 10-member search committee of university faculty, staff and administrators is chaired by Ray Steele Jr., chair of the Fresno State Foundation Board of Governors.

The candidates are:

  • Paula Castadio, president and CEO, ValleyPBS
  • Randal V. Childs, assistant vice chancellor, North Carolina Central University
  • Dr. Richard Daniel, associate vice president for University Advancement and Special Projects/Executive Director for Alumni Relations, University of Texas at El Paso.
  • Brian Kish, senior vice president, central development, University of Arizona Foundation

The new vice president will succeed Dr. Peter N. Smits, who will retire on June 30, 2014, after 20 years at Fresno State.
