Construction began May 19 on two new bike storage areas on the Fresno State campus. At the northwest corner of the Student Recreation Center, a 30-foot by 40-foot wrought iron fence (8-feet tall) will provide space for 93 bikes. A similar 21-foot by 70-foot fence east of the Professional Human Services building will provide storage for 103 bikes. They will bring the total bike spots on campus to 1,985 in 72 different locations. Temporary barricades are erected at each work site during construction, which is expected to be completed in early July. All building accesses and pedestrian walkways will be maintained.
