CineCulture and Filmworks will present “Ernest & Celestine” at 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.

at the Tower Theatre in Fresno (815 E. Olive Ave.) A post-screening discussion circle following the 5:30 show will feature librarian Jennifer Crow, curator of the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature at Fresno State’s Henry Madden Library. The 80-minute, PG-rated, Oscar-nominated animated family film tells the tale of an unlikely friendship between a bear named Ernest and a mouse named Celestine. Tickets are $10 general and $8 for students and seniors by check or cash at the Tower box office. CineCulture is a film series provided as a service free to the Fresno State community and the public. It is also offered as a three-unit academic course in the Mass Communication and Journalism Department. During the summer, films will be screened the second Friday of the month.
