Fresno State senior plant science students Armando Guzman (Tulare) and Nadia Juarez (Avenal) were selected as 2014 Golden Scholar Opportunity recipients. The program, a part of the American Society of Agronomy, the Crop Science Society of America and the Soil Science Society of America, connects agronomy, crop and soil science undergraduate students with mentors in their field during the annual meeting of the three societies. Selected students collaborate, connect and network with the 114 Golden Opportunity Scholar alumni. Guzman and Juarez will travel to Long Beach Nov. 2-5 to be recognized at the 2014 annual meeting.
