Two teams of Fresno State marketing students are attempting to break published world records this semester: “The Most People Unwrapping a Candy Simultaneously” and “The Longest Selfie Chain” record (people taking their own photograph). The candy project will be held noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7 at the Maple Mall on campus and will include a special tribute to commemorate Pearl Harbor. They hope to get 1,000 participants to unwrap a candy at the same time to break the record of 817. The selfie team will hold its event 1-5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 at the University Courtyard residence halls on campus in an effort to gather 1,000 people to break the record of 279.
