The University Dance Theatre’s Spring Contemporary Dance Concert, “Passion, Energy and Imagination,” is underway with final performances nightly through Saturday, Feb. 21 at Fresno State’s John Wright Theatre in the Speech Arts building.

Performances by the Fresno State Contemporary Dance Ensemble will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Performers are presenting six repertory dance works from five choreographers: Kenneth Balint, Mickey EmanuEl, Gianna McCurry, Anandha Ray and Beth Tritch.

The performance blends passionate movement, energized physicality and imaginative moments by ensemble dancers Azure Augustine, Sierra Berg, Mikayla Davis, Crystal Gonzalez, Alexandra Grijalva, Bethany Howard, Nicole Jenkins, Katarina Klass, Gianna McCurry and Beth Tritch.

Tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for Fresno State faculty, staff, alumni and military and $10 for students. Group rates are also available.

Box office hours are noon-4 p.m. weekdays and one hour before curtain. Parking is free for shows after 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For Thursday, parking permits are required and may be purchased at dispensers in parking lots on campus.
