Fresno State will celebrate Amerasia Week March 2-7 with several cultural events each night in the Satellite Student Union from 6-8 p.m. culminating with Festival Night from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, March 7.  Presented by the Fresno State Amerasia Organization, the events will feature dance, song and skit performances representing Filipinos, Indians, Japanese, Hmong and other cultures. Also, a talk by Dr. Pat Hayashi, former associate president of the University of California system, will be from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday March 4 at the Alice Peters Auditorium in the Peters Business Building. A reception will follow from 1-2 p.m. The lecture is co-sponsored by the President’s Office, the Asian Faculty and Staff Association and Amerasia. All events are free and open to the public.
