(UPDATE – 5:30 p.m. March 17):  Electrical power has been restored to the Agricultural Sciences Building and offices and classrooms there will reopen Wednesday (March 18).

Crews from Fresno State and two outside firms worked until 9 p.m. Monday and throughout today to replace electrical cable, dry out components of the transformer and the test the transformer for damage. No damage to the transformer was found, so electrical service was restarted.

A new heat exchanger will be ordered to replace the one that burst Monday morning, prompting the building closure. Until the custom-order part arrives there will be no hot water or HVAC in the building.
