Fresno State Farmworker Appreciation Day from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 22 will celebrate the contributions of farmworkers while cultivating empathy and engagement from the public. Two screenings of the film “Food Chains” will be presented in the Satellite Student Union beginning at 4 p.m. The second screening at 6:30 p.m. will be followed by a panel with director Sanjay Rawal and four Fresno County farmworkers. Tickets are $5 and proceeds will benefit drought-affected farmworker families. Donations of hygiene products will also be collected and distributed to farmworker families by Mothers Helping Mothers.
