Fresno State’s Women’s Studies Program is co-sponsoring the exhibit, “One Degree of Separation: A Sisterhood of California Women Artists,” which opens Thursday, March 5 at Arte Américas as part of National Women’s History Month.

Featuring 35 artists from throughout California, the exhibit runs through May 10 when a Mother’s Day brunch will be hosted in the outdoor plaza garden at Arte Américas (1630 Van Ness) near downtown Fresno, the Valley’s largest Latino cultural center. The works represent a wide spectrum of media.

Admission to view the galleries and parking are free (donations are accepted), thanks to a shared sponsorship by the Fresno County League of Mexican-American Women, Latinas Unidas de Madera and Women’s Studies.

Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. INFO: Larissa Mercado-Lopez, Women’s Studies professor, at 559.278.2858 or Arte Americas at 559.266.2623 or www.arteamericas.org.
