FigFestLogoThe Fresno State Winery and student volunteers from the Viticulture Club will participate in the 12th Annual California Fig Fest 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 south of the Satellite Student Union.

Television celebrity chef Fabio Viviani will headline the event, which benefits Fresno State’s Ag One Ron Radoicich Scholarship for students studying viticulture and enology, as well as the Fresno County Sheriff’s Foundation.

Winemaker Matt Brain and enology students will be in the beer and wine garden pouring and selling the new release 2013 Chardonnay, Consumer’s Wine Awards winner Touriga, and price-reduced Muscat Canelli.

The viticulture students will assist with the fig and cheese pairing in the culinary tent.

Event tickets are still available online: $25 for general admission and $45 for a VIP access pass.
