Niko Kazanjian, a Fresno State senior mass communication and journalism student, won a national award in the Take Flight with PR video contest. The winning submission was selected by a blue ribbon panel of judges from the public relations industry for the Council of Public Relations Firms. Kazanjian’s entry, “Reduce Emissions, Increase Life,” was a call to action to combat respiratory diseases by reducing carbon emissions. His video weaved together real world images and health statistics to help make his campaign’s case. The grand prize includes $1,500, a trip to New York City to premiere the video at the council’s annual member dinner Oct. 21 and the opportunity to meet with PR Council member firms.
