Ümit Kurt, a doctoral candidate at Clark University in Worcester, Mass., will present “A Kurdish Schindler: Story of a ‘Savior’” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in the University Business Center room 191. The free, the public lecture is part of the Armenian Studies Program Fall Lecture Series, with the support of the Leon S. Peters Foundation. Kurt is a Kazan Research Scholar at Fresno State for the fall 2015 semester. The lecture will discuss the efforts of Cemil Kunneh, a lieutenant in the Ottoman Army, to save Armenians during the Armenian Genocide.
