Fresno State’s Upward Bound is still accepting donations for its food and toiletries drive to benefit the Student Cupboard on campus. Donations will be delivered to the cupboard at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec.19. The donation drive is part of the service-learning component of Upward Bound, a program that consists of first-generation, low-income high school students from Madera, Madera South, Edison, McLane, Roosevelt and Fresno high schools. The students participate in various community service projects benefiting such organizations as the Court Appointed Special Advocate Association (CASA) and the Ronald McDonald House. Students learn about Fresno State’s food security project and how the University is supporting and helping students.
