Students are reminded to submit their 2016-2017 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the March 2 deadline.
Students and parents are encouraged to file their 2015 taxes before submitting the FAFSA, but if it is not possible they can use 2014 tax information to make the March 2 deadline, then update with 2015 tax information by using the Data Retrieval Tool. Following these guidelines will speed up the awarding process and prevent the likelihood of students needing to submit additional documents to the Financial Aid Office.
Two workshops about the Middle Class Scholarship are scheduled this week to assist families:
- 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24 at Madera College, Room AZ-1
- 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Fresno City College Library.
