The film “No Ordinary Hero: The SuperDeafy Movie” will be screened from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Satellite Student Union followed by a talk by Maucere, an entertainer and advocate recognized for his service to the deaf and hard of hearing community. He will discuss his experiences in the entertainment industry and his community work followed by audience questions. American Sign Language interpreters will be available. The free, public screening is presented by the Department of Communicative Disorders and Deaf Studies in partnership with the California Educators for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CAL-ED) as part of a three-day CAL-ED Conference at Fresno State.
