The Henry Madden Library at Fresno State continues the seventh season of its Noontime

Concert Series with a free, public performance by Figarden Trio at 12:10 p.m. Friday, April 1, in the library’s Table Mountain Rancheria Reading Room. The Figarden Trio is made up of Laura Porter (harp) and Larry Gardner (bassoon) and Nancy Wallace (flute), who are husband and wife. Porter is the principal harpist for the Fresno Philharmonic and Bakersfield Symphony Orchestras and has previously performed with Wallace for the Bakersfield Symphony. The Figarden Trio features an unusual collection of instruments not often performed together. The group’s repertoire includes music by André Jolivet, Jean-Michel Damase, Arthur Foote, Mathieu Lussier, Johann Joachim Quantz and A. Torriani. Dr. Corey Whitehead of Fresno State’s Department of Music is the artistic director and coordinator for the Noontime Concert Series. Seating is limited.
