Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro will be the keynote speaker for the 2016 Mario Olmos Memorial Scholarship Banquet from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Friday, May 6, at the Ramada Inn (324 E. Shaw Ave.) in Fresno. The banquet is presented by the Central Valley Chapter of the La Raza Lawyers Association, an organization to support Chicano and Latino lawyers in California. The program recognizes and awards law students who are committed to serving their communities with a scholarship to further their studies. The mistress of ceremonies will be Lupita Lomeli from Univision 21 and entertainment will be provided by the Clovis High Marimba Band.
