Fresno State flags lowered to half-staff for Orlando victims

(June 12, 2016) — Fresno State Pres. Joseph Castro has directed that the university’s flags be lowered to half-staff in memory of the Orlando, Fla. mass shooting victims killed and injured early this morning per President Barack Obama.

The flags at the Save Mart Center and the Veterans Memorial Monument (Thomas Building Rose Garden) on campus are now at half-staff until sunset daily through June 16 per the White House proclamation today.

“The Fresno State community, along with residents throughout the Central Valley, join our nation in mourning this tragedy in Orlando,” Castro said. “The victims, including the survivors, are in our thoughts and prayers.”
