Health care professionals and educators will discuss physical and psychological effects of pediatric head injury at the third annual Interprofessional Education Workshop from 2 to 4:30 p.m., Oct. 18, at Valley Children’s Hospital (Room 140 A and B). Traumatic brain injury is the leading cause of disability and death in children and adolescents in the U.S. This event, a partnership between Fresno State’s College of Health and Human Services and Valley Children’s Healthcare, provides learning opportunities for students to interact with health care professionals in an interdisciplinary setting. A panel of speech-language pathologists and a clinical neuropsychologist will be among the workshop presenters. INFO: Dr. Stephen Roberts at 559.278.2421 or stroberts@csufresno.edu.
