The U.S. Air Force Academy Band Cadet and Bugle Corps is in Fresno for tonight’s Mountain West Conference football game between the Fresno State Bulldogs and the Air Force Academy Falcons. The 67 member contingent will perform at halftime with the Bulldog Marching Band for Fresno State’s “Salute to Services” night. They will hold a joint practice this afternoon before playing at the Air Force Parents Tailgate on campus. The corps will then march to the stadium performing its legendary drum cadence. Also accompanying the Falcons delegation is Col. David Harris, the vice superintendent for the Air Force Academy, who will join Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro at the game as well as be out on the field doing pushups with the Air Force Academy Cadets. The joint halftime performance will feature a medley of patriotic songs while forming the initials of each military branch. A 90- x 135-foot U.S. flag will be displayed, held by 200 members of the Mountain View Church of Fresno. Original press release.
