Cory Nelson, a 22-year-old computer science major from Lompoc, is the new spring 2017 cadet wing commander for the Fresno State Air Force ROTC Detachment 35. Nelson, who plans to graduate in May when he will be commissioned as a second lieutenant, was installed during the Change of Command Parade Dec. 6 at Bulldog Stadium. The parade is held at the end of each semester to announce the next semester’s cadet wing commander. The cadets also bid farewell to outgoing wing commander Donald King, a business administration major. Cadet wing commanders serve for one semester, leading over 50 other cadets and promoting them for the next semester. They are chosen by Air Force officers who work as faculty in the Craig School of Business. INFO: Cpt. Larry Cornelio at 559.278.6204 or lcornelio@csufresno.edu.
