Fresno State’s delegation is ready for the World Ag Expo this week but will be minus one key player: live Bulldog mascot Victor E. III, whose appearance planned for Wednesday, Feb. 15, was cancelled due to animal event restrictions. But the human Bulldogs will go on with the show beginning with Fresno State student Ag Ambassadors hosting a college information booth each day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 14-16 in the Ag Careers and Education Pavilion (booth spaces 7002 and 7003). From 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, President Joseph I. Castro and his wife, Mary, will join Dr. Sandra Witte, dean of the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, and staff to host “Fresno State Ice Cream with the Dean” at the booth. New Fresno State football head coach Jeff Tedford will also appear at the booth from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday to meet and greet attendees. The campus Center for Irrigation Technology will host 10 seminars on innovative irrigation methods and products from 10 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. Thursday in seminar center trailer three.
