Thomas Saenz, MALDEF

Thomas Saenz, president and general counsel of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, will speak at the Fresno State Civil Rights Forum set for 2:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, in the University Dining Hall (east wing).

The forum will begin with opening remarks from University President Joseph I. Castro and Lynnette Zelezny, Fresno State provost and vice president for Academic Affairs. At 2:55 p.m., Saenz will discuss civil rights, immigration and social justice, followed by audience questions.

Associated Students Inc. President Tim Ryan will provide the forum’s closing remarks. The event is geared to students and University employees but is open to the public (parking is $3 a day: bit.ly/FS-ParkingInfo).
