Dr. Loretta Kensinger, a women’s studies professor at Fresno State since 1998, will discuss “Hope and Justice: Reflections on 20 Years Teaching in Women’s Studies” for the third spring installment of the University’s annual Women’s Studies Lunchtime Talks from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, in the Henry Madden Library (Room 2206). Kensinger surveys aspects of women’s studies and outlines changes in the field’s approach to its subject, considers reactions to its key theory and reflects on changes to her own pedagogical approaches over time as she encourages her audience to reflect on the unique contributions of women’s studies to both their own learning and within higher education.
