Scott Miller, CEO of Gazebo Gardens in Fresno, will give the talk “Now What? Retaining Good Habits in a Wet Year” for the Friends of the Madden Library at 6 p.m. Friday, April 28 in the Henry Madden Library at Fresno State. This free, public event, co-sponsored by the Central Valley Water Awareness Committee, will be in the Leon S. Peters Ellipse Gallery lobby (second floor, North Wing). With nearly 30 years of horticulture experience, Miller is a recognized industry leader and a former Fresno Chamber of Commerce chairman. In 2014, he received the “Small Business Advocate of the Year” award from the California State Chamber of Commerce. He currently hosts “Valley Grown,” a popular weekly horticulture-themed radio show that transmits from the Bay Area to the Grapevine over KYNO 1430AM (10-11 a.m. Saturdays).
