The Fresno State Laureate Lab will host two University professors 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., today, Oct. 25, for the first of several upcoming campus Día De Los Muertos observances when they honor the memory of three Chicanx book authors with an altar. Drs. Laura Alamillo, Kremen Education, and Larissa Mercado-Lopez, Women’s Studies, are presenting the event, which includes a display of books written by late authors Francisco Alarcon, Gloria Anzaldua and Bobbi Salinas. Pan dulce and té de canela will be available. A sugar skull workshop for Día de Los Muertos is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 30, and Wednesday, Nov. 1.
