The “iFuture: You Belong at Fresno State” event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, at the San Joaquin Sports Complex (8599 6th St.) and from 3 to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Maxie Parks Community Center (1802 E. California Ave.) Presented by the College of Health and Human Services at Fresno State and local Fresno community organizations as part of a series of outreach events, the event is designed to educate youth about college. The goal is to provide early outreach to young students and expose them to information about career options in the health and human services field. Fresno State students will provide demonstrations and activities related to the various career choices. Career counselors from the University will provide parents with helpful strategies to navigate the steps toward higher education for their children.
