The Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Fresno State kicks off the first of three Pay It Forward luncheons this fall with Gia Kazarian, leadership and social consultant at First Impressions Consulting.

Kazarian earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from New York University. She has been a consultant since 2004 working with people to strengthen their social skills, self-awareness and professional behaviors.

The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Satellite Student Union.

The Pay It Forward series brings business leaders and alumni together with Fresno State students to engage in dialogue, explore issues in depth and network. Each luncheon features a keynote speaker who is usually from the Central Valley or has a connection to Fresno or Fresno State. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

The next luncheon will be on Oct. 12 and will feature Josiah Gordon, co-founder and chief marketing officer at DRINKS, a digital wine marketplace with shipping solutions. He was also co-founder of Quiris, a technology management consulting group.

On Nov. 16, the speakers will include Darik Volpa, founder and chief executive officer of Rehearsal VRP and Understand.com, and alumnus Mike O’Brien, chief executive officer of Mingle, LLC.
