Mobile unit kicks off free semester-long health services Jan. 31

The Fresno State Community Health Mobile Unit will stop at the Mary Ella Brown Community Center (1350 E. Annadale, Fresno) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, to provide free health services to the community. Residents can receive diabetes and blood pressure screenings, health assessments, education and referrals.

Free flu shots, for ages 4 and up, are available and limited to the first 50 individuals. The unit, coordinated by Fresno State nursing faculty and students, travels to various rural communities in Fresno County offering free health services to those who do not have readily available access to health care.

Chevron recently announced a $150,000 gift to the mobile unit, which will help to underwrite 20 visits to the West Fresno region. INFO: Fresno State School of Nursing at 559.278.2041. See full spring 2019 schedule.
